Tim Mead

Managing Director

Tim has operated within the building industry for over three decades, and has acquired his broad industry knowledge and experience through his involvement in Major Construction projects; Commercial buildings; Residential dwellings as well as the Industrial and Civil sectors.

Through his own experiences, Tim recognises that it is the skills and knowledge of his employees that allows Mead Con to enjoy continued success.

Consequently, he provides comprehensive development for all employees, and in particular apprentices, by implementing structured and ongoing training programs.

Vonette Mead

Operations Manager

Vonette manages the Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Systems together with the Financial and Administration sectors.

She works alongside Tim to facilitate future expansion and a professional company image.

Vonette identifies practical and achievable performance measures to identify gaps in company Management Systems and works with personnel to rectify anomalies ensuring continued compliance to legislative and regulatory requirements as well as providing a structured working environment for all Mead Con employees and sub-contractors.

Andrew Ricardson

Senior Estimator/Project Manager

Andrew is well known in the building industry - a 40-year association, the last 20 with Mead Con. He enjoys an exemplary reputation as an honest operator who displays integrity throughout all his dealings.

He mentors and coaches the project management team [including Supervisors] enhancing their abilities and creating a highly effective, customer and team-focused group.

Andrew is accredited with the Tasmanian Compliance Corporation as both a Building Designer and Construction Manager.

Luke Quigley

General Manager - Construction

With 13 years of experience working with Mead Con, first as an Apprentice and then as an Estimator/Project Manager, Luke was promoted to General Manager - Construction in 2020.

Through every aspect of his role, Luke displays superior time management and technical skills. Together with his considerable construction knowledge, he utilises a strategic problem-solving approach as well as consultative communication methods.

Luke is held in high esteem by clients, colleagues, employees and sub-contractors, forging strong and effective working relationships to bring about optimum results for all, evident in feedback freely offered by all with whom he comes into contact. Luke also ensures the smooth operation of the Construction Team through project team assembly and allocation of labour, as well as acting as an Apprentice Mentor.

Debra Spillane

Human Resource Manager

Debra has operated in the Human Resources sector for over 35 years and has provided generalist advice in all aspects of HR Management for the past 16 years.

She is responsible for the development, management and implementation of the HR function, in such areas as Performance Management; People Development; Recruitment & Succession Planning; Industrial & Employee Relations; and Strategic Planning. In addition, she assists with the implementation of the Risk and Quality Management Systems.

As an experienced trainer, Debra facilitates Mead Con programs such as Leadership, Performance Management, and Workplace Coaching. Deb acts as Apprenticeship Coordinator, working closely with Apprentices the Tasmanian Skills Institute & other RTOs, New Apprenticeship Centres and key Management staff to ensure that all Apprentices meet their developmental goals, both personally and professionally.
